Well.... we went back to Hawaii (June)!

We were in Hawaii for 3 weeks! I am excited to start planning for our move.

I was able to take measurements and start planning out what I want to do to the house. My husband is not overly stoked about the idea of finishing one house and starting another... but this is what happens when you buy a house that needs work or isn't up to your standards.

This trip was slightly different since a lot of planning was going into place. Plus, I had to work remotely the whole time as well. Additionally the kids were interviewing for a charter school to enter the lottery for that. Not quite as relaxing as usually but that is ok. Soon enough I will be here full time.

The downside to the vacation is the simple fact that this is 3 weeks my husband could be working on projects. I am pushing our timeline to October of this year. Might be unrealistic but you know I think he is superman... so there is that.

Usually when we visit we try to do something new each time. This time we went down to a small town (barely that.. more like housing location.. which is also a loose term for some of the places)... and took a wee little hike to a very secluded and beautiful beach. We had the beach to ourselves and on our hike out we passed some people. It is a special thing to find those places and be able to spend time there alone and take it all in.

(This photo totally sums them up!)

Typically I would have so much more to say about our trip, especially considering the length of it.. however working a lot of it and planning around the house meant less adventures and more of revisiting places we love.

We did take a impromptu staycation for a night on the other side of the island. We had gone over to Kekaha Kai and ended up getting later than planned and decided to head into Kona and just stay the night. So a little vacation within a vacation.

I suppose there was not shortage of adventures, but perhaps a little less exploration than usual for us. Enjoy some photos!
