Football - Parties - Halloween - & Stuff

Lets get one thing straight, I do not like Fall. Fall means rain... the beginning of months upon months of rain. It also means winter, and that means cold and even more rain.

Basically its my least favorite time of the year.

No, I do not like Pumpkin Spiced Latte's or whatever everyone raves about. I dont wear uggs with yoga pants... if anything I go into wearing all black to mourn the loss of summer and prepare for Bear Mode.. and hibernate for the next 6+ months until the sun decides to return again.

I have friends and I love them.. but they love Fall. Yeah.. not me. My feelings about fall are about the same as the great divide between liberal and conservative views. I am an endless summer person. That probably explains why I am so hell bent on moving to Hawaii. Endless Summer!!!!!

In August we lost my husbands Uncle Dave, beloved Uncle Dave. He was a cool cat! He lived in the family estate and now that he has passed it requires a lot of work and time for my husband and his cousins in handling the estate and trust. Upside is trips up to the house and taking in the glorious views. The home was built in Des Moines Washington. It was one of the first homes there and was built on the bluff which over looks the Puget Sound and Marina. The home itself was built in like 1890 and it not much to be desired as it is old. But the memories and views are priceless and irreplaceable.

Lots of memories for my husbands family here.. many generations. Some fond memories for me as well. Imagine when Uncle Dave was well and took care of the yard, it was glorious green with beautiful flowers everywhere.

Another part of fall for me is private parties and other festivals. Seeing how I love my job, this is not a bad thing. However as I transition into fall, I become more lethargic and less eager to go work in the field.

Especially when it starts raining. However, I usually try to make the best of it one way or another. Thank heavens for the people I work with.. they often take crappy days and make them amazing!

Nearly every day I need to take a wee little nap before the boys come home. While my blanket says winter.. my clothes scream give me summer back!

Oh..... my pocket car (aka commuter) decided to try to kill me. So in light of moving to Hawaii, I decided to buy a Jeep Renegade. it is the anniversary edition. I think the only thing that makes it "special" is that it has Dr. Dre Beats sound. Honestly I dont care, but I do think its super cute!!! Totally going to be my Hawaii cruiser. I would still have Pocket Car if it wouldn't have tried to kill me... but it was a lemon and I had to offload the bastard.

Anyway.... that sums up my entry into fall for now!
