BEST DAY EVER!

I do not typically celebrate my birthday, on my actual birthday. Mainly due to the fact that there is a particular event I work that weekend. My clients have made it known, they will ONLY deal with me. If I leave the business, they will take their business elsewhere. So, I dont want to let them down... so I always celebrate my birthday at a later point.

Surrounding my birthday is many other friends birthdays as well. Sierra is exactly a week younger than me. Boe's birthday is a week and two days after mine, his sons birthday is the same date as me. Then a handful of other friends one week before and after my birthday.

Years past, we had always had this "July's Birthday Party". This included basically all our close friends who celebrated birthdays around mine. I never wanted a party specifically for myself. I wanted to simply share a good time, with good people.

After having kids, the July Party fizzled away. So this year I decided to bring it back. Unfortunately we had to have it mid week, which meant there were many people who were not able to attend. All that being said, I was lucky enough to have mainly all my besties show up.

In fact Boe and his wife Jen, we had not see in years. They live across the river from us, not but 20 min away. But Jen is in law enforcement, and Boe had started his own business. They have kids. Anyone with kids.. gets it. So we text or talk online. But in general we never see each other.

Here I am sitting on the deck... not entirely sober. Ok, not sober at all.. and I hear someone walk through the gate. It is dark, so I cant see who it is... and BOOM!!! There is Boe walking up the stairs. I love this guy! I freaked out!!!!

About an hour later, Sierra's husband showed up (OG Crew) and then after that Boe's wife showed up. Most of our friends are in law enforcement. So this is why we have people rolling in between 10pm - 12 am.

Anyway, between a pool day with friends, and an evening of delicous food, and way too many cocktails with my best best best friends! I had one of the best days I have had in a very long time!

My heart is full!
