OCD & Wrapping Gifts

A little story about wrapping presents...

I am the one who wraps presents in my home. This is due to my OCD. Therefore no one else is allowed to wrap. I need to make sure that everything is perfect and surely I can not have a man or child be counted on for such things. At least with wrapping.

I love giving, and in particular to everyone! Another part of this is because I do not have any daughters. However, every in-law, sibling, step sibling, and friend has girls. I buy for a minimum of 10 little girls each Christmas. Another issue I have is shopping. I do a lot of it. That means each Christmas I have insane amounts of presents to wrap.

I wrap in sessions, based on when a bulk of packages arrive from UPS/FedEX. The closer we get to Christmas the more tired I become of wrapping gifts with perfection. I sit on my couch, lean over my ottoman and wrap until the wee hours of the morning.

Well tonight, I am just spent. Between excessive back pain from leaning over and just plain old motivation... I am done! Not actually done.. there is still plenty to wrap. But I am done for now. I dont want to wrap another gift for 10 years!
