Our Mission Statement
To lower the overpopulation of cats and dogs on the island of Hawaiʻi by offering free spay/neuter clinics in rural areas as funds allow. To expand these services to all areas of the island.
About PetFix
Beate and Bridget Neher, founding sisters of PETFIX Spay & Neuter have been involved in animal welfare since growing up in
Germany. After volunteering with different rescue organizations on Hawaiʻi Island for years, they decided to start PETFIX at the beginning of 2020. They both excel in organizing and facilitating spay/neuter clinics having strong bonds with various veterinarians on the island and US Mainland.
Their focus is to offer free spay/neuter clinics in lower-income areas of the island to reduce pet overpopulation and thus improving the quality of life for Hawaiian Cerpopulation and thus improving the quality of liife for Hawaiian communities while decreasing
Vision
We envision an island where every animal is wanted and cared for, where no-kill animal sanctuaries offer temporary shelter before animals find forever homes. PETFIX Spay & Neuter allows sanctuaries to sustain no-kill policies by reducing the potential for unwanted animals.
What qualifications are needed to have my cat or dog spayed/neutered?
Cats/Kittens:

At least 2 lbs in weight

If she had a litter recently, kittens are weened (usually between 6-8 weeks of age.

Not showing signs of respiratory infection.
Dogs/Puppies:
-
At least _ lbs in weight.

If she has had a litter recently, the puppies are weaned (usually by 10-12 weeks of age)
